Bayy ag Akhemuk (ruled c. 1950 – 1975) was the Amenokal, or traditional leader, of the Kel Ahaggar, a Tuareg confederation in present-day Algeria. His reign spanned a period of significant change, including Algerian independence from France and the evolving relationship between the Kel Ahaggar and the new Algerian state.[1]
