Aspergillus pseudoterreus

Aspergillus pseudoterreus is a species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus. It is from the Terrei section.[1] The species was first described in 2011.[1] It has been reported to produce aspulvinones, asterriquinones, butyrolactones, citreoisocoumarin, citreoviridin, citrinin, 3-methylorsellinic acid, terrein, and terrequinone A.[1]

Growth and morphology

A. pseudoterreus has been cultivated on both Czapek yeast extract agar (CYA) plates and Malt Extract Agar Oxoid® (MEAOX) plates. The growth morphology of the colonies can be seen in the pictures below.
