Aman Sehrawat (born 16 July 2003) is an Indian freestyle wrestler from Haryana, supported by OGQ. He won the bronze medal in the 57 kg category at the 2022 Asian Games.[1][2][3][4][5] Earlier in April 2023, he won a gold medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Early life
editAman Sehrawat hails from a Jat family of Sehrawat gotra from Birohar, Jhajjar district, Haryana.[6] He lost both his parents when he was 11 years old.
Career
editSehrawat won his first National Championship title in 2021. He used to train under coach Lalit Kumar.[6]
In January 2024, he won the gold medal in the men’s 57kg event at the Zagreb Open wrestling tournament beating China’s Zou Wanhao in the final with a perfect score of 10-0.[7]
He competed at the 2024 Asian Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan hoping to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.[8] He is the lone male wrestler qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics from India.[8]
