Adobe Extreme was a PDF-based printing technology that was developed by Adobe Systems in 1996.[1] It used to be like Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite. It allows PDF files to be rendered throughout the workflow, eliminating the need to flatten transparent artwork.[1] It supprted Adobe's Portable Job Ticket Format (PJTF), which enables trapping, imposition and color separation.[2]

It was superseded in 2006 by Adobe PDF Print Engine.
