The 49er Saloon is a restaurant and bar established in 1889 or 1870, located at 31908 Crown Valley Road, Acton, California.[1]

History

edit

The Saloon was originally known as place for gold miners and cowboys to congregate following the height of the California Gold rush. As of 2024, the 49er Saloon is still in business. In 2017 its ownership was taken over by Larry Krask and his wife Cecilia. In 2022, the 49er Saloon appeared in the Netflix series Brand New Cherry Flavor. California's 20th governor Henry T. Gage operated a Gold mine close to the 49er Saloon, which made the saloon a popular place for local workers at the time.[2][3][4]
