It was the 40th edition of the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, and part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the 2015 ATP World Tour. It took place at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, United States, from July 13 through July 19, 2015.

Former world No. 8 and two-time Grand Slam finalist Mark Philippoussis contested his first match on the ATP World Tour in nine years after receiving a wild card into qualifying. He was 38 years of age.[3]
