The 2001 LNBP was the 2nd season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on July 31, 2001 and ended on November 29, 2001.[3] The league title was won by Gallos de Pelea de Ciudad Juárez, which defeated Lobos UAdeC in the championship series.

The second LNBP All-Star Game was played in Torreón. The game was played between a team of Mexican players (Mexicanos) and a team of foreign players (Extranjeros). The Mexican won, 119–116.[6]
