1932 UCI Road World Championships – Men's road race

The men's road race at the 1932 UCI Road World Championships was the sixth edition of the event. The race took place on Wednesday 31 August 1932 in Rome, Italy.[1] The race was won by Alfredo Binda of Italy.

Race report edit

The professionals had to complete three laps of about 68 kilometres, totalling 206 kilometres.[2] There were 21 participants. Still, only a maximum of three cyclists per country were allowed to participate. The strong Italian team was the favourite and took the first two places. Alfredo Binda became world champion for the third time ahead of his compatriot Remo Bertoni. They were well ahead of Luxembourger Nicolas Frantz.[3]
