Álvaro Pintado Santaularia (born 3 July 2004) is a Spanish technology entrepreneur and businessman.[1] He is the founder and CEO of hello.app, a decentralized P2P storage network valued at $16 million.[2] He founded hello.app at the age of 17.[3][4][5] Pintado, also known for having an IQ of 142 and being a member of Mensa International,[6][7] is the author of El Sistema Financiero Descentralizado, a book about DeFi and how the decentralized financial system could replace the traditional one.[8][9]

He studied at Viaró Global School, then started college at UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) to study Telecommunications Engineering but dropped out after 3 months to continue with his entrepreneurship career. He started in the world of business at the age of 17 when he created hello.app and Whispr, a SaaS (software as a service) based on artificial intelligence. In the same year he published his first book entitled "The decentralized financial system".[10][11][12] Currently, together with his partner Alexander Baikalov, he has created hello.app, a startup that wants to revolutionize the way information is stored in the cloud.[13][14][15][16]
hello.app consists of an ecosystem of decentralized applications, networks and infrastructure that is based on blockchain, decentralized storage and distributed databases. A system comparable to the Google ecosystem, with the main difference that data is distributed in multiple locations and devices, a fact that provides more resistance to errors and cyber attacks, as well as more privacy and autonomy by the users.[17][18][19][20][21][22]
