Damn good article edit
I have followed the squirrel and Sciuridae article development and I just reread this article for the first time in awhile.
I would just like to congratulate the various authors and editors on a very good job. It is well written. It covers the most important aspects of the subject and the combination of the two articles, Squirrel and Sciuridae, with the addition of the squirrel DAB did a good job on handling the semantic issues related to title and subject of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davefoc (talk • contribs) 20:23, 13 April 201 (UTC)0

Add tribe Tamiini edit
I suggest that tribe Tamiini (chipmunks) should be added.
These 3 genus (Tamias, Eutamias and Neotamias) are now part of this tribe: Tamiini, not Marmotini anymore.

Change the first sentence in the wiki from "a family that includes small or medium-size rodents" to "a family that includes small or medium---sized rodents".
Delete Space between text - In 2nd paragraph of Characteristics Chapter. Change from "In most squirrel species, the hind limbs are longer than the fore limbs..." --> "In most squirrel species, the hind limbs are longer than the forelimbs..." Throwawaying (talk) 02:02, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

re; squirrels introduced to australia.. edit
regarding the first paragraph where it says ”Squirrels are indigenous to the Americas, Eurasia, and Africa, and were introduced by humans to Australia."
shouldn't there be a disclaimer or context to that, such as reasons and consequences, if any per se? it would seem that wildlife generally isn't 'supposed' to be introduced into non native habitats..64.183.42.232 (talk) 02:01, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
