User talk:PhilipBembridge/WikiProject Music with Place Names

New Project

edit

I am far from convinced that this project has been adequately thought through. I believe that it would make much more sense to move the proposed project page to userspace, propose the project at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals and see if there is enough interest in starting it before moving it into project space. Also, in the process, it is possible that it would be better organized than it now is when and if it is starter. Also, it would make it much less likely that the project would ultimately be deleted, which is a risk of starting such projects without prior member commitment. Hi Philipbembridge. I suggest you read WP:CLS and WP:CAT -- categories, lists, series boxes -- for a sense of when to use categories. You might also read WP:NOT because I don't think that the concept of "music with place names" is of more than trivial interest. It's fun trivia and I love trivia, but it's hard to verify and source, it's rarely notable, and so it will create maintenance problems. Cheers, lquilter 16:52, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
