January

edit

The Good Life has been suggest by Jawr256 and myself, if you have any objections or comments on concentrating on this sitcom for January then please list them below, other ideas are welcome. --Mollsmolyneux 16:30, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

The only thing I would say is that The Good Life page is already fairly good. It has a List of episodes page (I know I created this, so it isn't very modest of me to say that!) and I don't think much more is needed. Photos of the four main characters would be good though. Anyway, I feel it would be a shame to spend a month on this article, when so many other sitcoms are mere stubs with no episode list. I think Ab Fab's episode list needs improving (ie having "Overview" details in a table). To take some random pages Bloomers (TV series), Brush Strokes, The Liver Birds all of these need far more attention than The Good Life. Also episode details for Last of the Summer Wine and Keeping Up Appearances in a table would be good. I think it would be a shame to waste out efforts on a programme that already has much more than so many others. --Berks105 22:30, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I think that three sitcoms (Bloomers (TV series), Brush Strokes, The Liver Birds) suggested by Berks105 would be a good place to start what does everyone else think. Mollsmolyneux 19:06, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I think that we should start with something simple, such as Bloomers, of which only five episodes were made. I have begun by adding an infobox --Jawr256 19:51, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Due to the fact that nobody can be bothered to vote on this talk page, I have selected Bloomers as the sitcom that we will concentrate on this month. For a list of what needs to be done se the project main page. --Mollsmolyneux 17:51, 3 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikiproject banners, etc

edit

Hi, one concern is that we're not supposed to use the official BBC logo in banners, stub notices, etc, as it's not considered fair-use. Perhaps something along the lines of Wikipedia:WikiProject BBC's logo would be suitable. Bob talk 17:09, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Also, the banner currently says this project is "a collaborative effort to improve Wikipedia's coverage of tulips"... I'm as committed to gaining tulip knowledge as the next person, but I think there might've been an error there. - Responsible? 17:47, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bottom

edit

I'm going to begin work on extra pages for Bottom, a sitcom starring Ade Edmonson and Rik Mayall. Mr. Garrison (talk · contribs)

List of BBC Sitcoms

edit

I will be willing to start working on a list page immediately. I presume that the title should just be: "List of BBC Sitcoms"?

Okay - done. Cat Constantine 15:15, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Infoboxes

edit

Hello all. Please try to utilise {{Infobox Television episode}} rather than making an infobox for individual shows. This makes things look consistent, and it is much easier on Wikipedia's servers to use one template. There has been a range of deletions recently of redundant show specific templates. Cheers. Episode coverage

edit

The WikiProject Television episode coverage taskforce have recently been working on a review process for episode articles. There are a rash of articles about individual episodes which fail notability, and are unlikely to ever reach such requirements. Many contributors are unaware of the specific guidelines to assess notability in episode pages: Wikipedia:Television episodes. We have expanded these guidelines to make them more helpful and explanatory, and we invite you to read the guidelines, and make any comments on its talk page. After much discussion, we have created a proposed review process for dealing with problem articles. See: Wikipedia:Television article review process. We invite discussion of this process on its talk page. General comments about this whole process are welcome at the episode coverage taskforce talkpage. Thanks! Gwinva 10:13, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've noticed the short episode pages as well, I think we should list the programmes with poor episode articles and then work on them. Mr. GaRRiSoN 08:50, 1 September 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr. Garrison (talkcontribs)

Parentage with WikiProject Comedy

edit

I believe there is a relationship the Comedy WikiProject. If there is so, should it be listed? ISD 21:53, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Task Force or WikiProject

edit

Is this a WikiProject, or a task force? There is a notice saying "This WikiProject is believed to be inactive" but it is described as a task force. Vorbee (talk) 07:45, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
