One possible solution to the lack of links between spoken versions of wiki pages is Audio Hyperlinks. Audio Hyperlinks are indicated by a tone heard while listening to the spoken version of the wiki. To follow the Audio Hyperlink the link out button is pressed. To return to the previously playing audio, the link back button is pressed. An open source prototype of this type of Audio Hyperlink player is located at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/audiohyperlinks/

One proposed format is to add an extension allowing audiolinks to the XSPF format created by Lucas Gonze.
