Project news The "wanted articles" page has been expanded to be a general article requests page; it includes lists of wanted articles, requests for maps and illustrations, and (in the near future) lists of articles requiring various types of cleanup. A welcoming message for new project members has been created; suggestions for improving it would be very appreciated! The various task forces now have their own userboxes, courtesy of Dryzen. The project newsletter will now be delivered as a link; members who would prefer a different format can request it here.	From the Coordinators The cartography department needs your help! While some organization of maps continues directly on Wikimedia Commons, a number of people have requested that we keep the cartography department active as a "one-stop-shop" for map-related issues. We are therefore looking for one or more volunteers who would be interested in maintaining the catalogue of maps in the department. Interested parties should apply here. Current proposals and discussions The cleaned-up top-level category scheme is nearing completion; however, further input is still needed on a number of issues! In light of new proposals being considered by the WP:1.0 team, some changes to the project worklist idea may be possible. A proposal to consolidate the project's talk page banners into a single template is up for discussion.
