AfD voting templates edit

The result of the debate was speedy delete under G4, now that the templates in XfDs have been substituted, and therefore can be deleted. seresin ( ¡? ) 21:44, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

These templates are deprecated and useless. Firstly, AfD is not a majority vote, so using these templates on their own would be highly discouraged. Also, it takes more time and effort to type out {{KeepVote}} or {{DeleteVote}} than '''Keep''' or '''Delete''', which is all the templates contain. If there is consensus to delete, I can go through and subst the template in to the archived discussions where it is in use. RichardΩ612 Ɣ ɸ 16:26, May 17, 2008 (UTC)

This can probably be speedy closed as long as Richard is willing to subst the transclusions, since that is why the templates exist. seresin ( ¡? ) 16:35, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comment/clarification: [ec] It seems that the templates previously contained images, but the templates were deleted during the controversy about AfD voting templates. They were then recreated to avoid breaking lots of AfD archives. As mentioned above, I am perfectly willing to fix all these should the template be deleted. Just give me a chance to subst: them all in before deletion. RichardΩ612 Ɣ ɸ 16:36, May 17, 2008 (UTC)
