I found this with a {{db|orphan template, misstake copy of infobox india ore something, not used anyhow, no need for tfd.}} stuck on it, but it's not a speedy. Delete as unused. —Cryptic 20:50, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Fox Sports Radio (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
  • Just a copy of Fox Sports Radio--Coasttocoast 01:47, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • The template is of a poor standard and is unrequired by the Wikipedia community. Will not be missed - editors can just copy & paste content from Fox Sports Radio rather than using this sub-standard template. Delete! --Anthonycfc (Talk to Me) (sandbox) (E-Count) 18:51 17 Oct 2006 (UTC)
  • Delete I fail to see the purpose of this template. It is unorthodox to have a template for what amounts to article content. Plus, this isn't being used in any articles currently.--Andrew c 20:01, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Romania Squad Euro 2000 (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
  • Nightmare, the first European Football Championship squad TP. Matt86hk talk 08:52, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
One more by same person. Template:Romania Squad Euro 1996. Matt86hk talk 08:54, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why nightmare? I did them. Show me where I can find on Wikipedia that writing such templates is banned. If there are World Cup Squad templates why can't there be European Championship ones? --Oliviu 16:39, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I oppose the template's deletion - it links to articles on all the players contained in the template. Yet (for example) take a look at Template:Glasgow railway stations - take a look at what links to the template; only articles on the stations contained in the template. Yet you don't see it being deleted. By using this template as a comparison to Template:Romania Squad Euro 2000 (because they both only link to articles contained in the template themsleves) we can see that it would be unfair to delete the template. For this reason I oppose deletion. --Anthonycfc (Talk to Me) (sandbox) (E-Count) 19:01 17 Oct 2006 (UTC)

Comment Please read Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football/Archive5#Squad_templates] and Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/2006 August 11#All FIFA World Cup squad templates. These TP are ugly to someone's article, such as Paolo Maldini, played 4 World Cup and three European Championship. Matt86hk talk 00:22, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. The comments made by Anthony are completely irrelevant. We've had this round before, and we should limit the use of squad templates to World Cup and current club. Punkmorten 11:40, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Keep looks good to me. Kingfisherswift 15:54, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Yeah, this looks like a fairly decent use of the template namespace. EVula 16:00, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete They clutter up the page far too much. If people want to browse the page they can use the squad list pages. HornetMike 02:24, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete As per HornetMike and comment on Paolo Maldini. Also, accepting these for the regional European Championships opens up for more regional templates (i.e. African Cup of Nations, Copa America) which are bi-annual and therefore much more clutter. I think it okay that the big, international tournament like the World Cup have its own templates, but there's no point in cluttering articles. Poulsen 06:51, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete Totally useless. (Maldini is the greatest left fullback of all time) --necronudist 17:06, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete Sets a ridiculous precedent. Some players could have 8-10 templates at the bottom. Dodge 03:09, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete Yet more template cruft that we can put on the bottom of pages instead of actually writing content. veila# 10:10, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete Templatecruft, these kinds of templates just clutter articles and add little information. Qwghlm 13:42, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Used only on Panketal. Uses defunct Wikipedia:hiddenStructure. Fork of template:Infobox Town DE. Ligulem 11:35, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete redundent template. I recommend converting the one use to template:Infobox Town DE before deletion. Furthermore, something about the formatting is rendered incorrectly on firefox. (if its fixable, that isn't reason enough to delete a template, but redundency is)--Andrew c 20:05, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Templates in use are moved to WP:TFD#To_orphan at the bottom of WP:TFD for orphanning before technical deletion iff the result of the debate is "delete". This is standard procedure. --Ligulem 20:15, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
