Power steering and boating

Does power steering exist for (small) boats?TMCk (talk) 18:13, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

What kind of boat? With what kind of propulsion? How you steer boats varies. If you have an outboard motor (which is common for small boats) then you steer by just turning the motor. You don't really need power steering for that. --Tango (talk) 18:56, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

OK. Education means to to bring out human excellence and make it flourish. Rather than spoon feed a student with facts, it endeavours to bring the pupil to the point where s/he transcends to the state where s/he becomes empowered to seek and discover knowledge himself and thus rise, to become a teacher in his own right. This is a reference desk. The whole point is to help people find references. If we mock and abuse everyone that is unable to find references themselves then that's all we'll do. The OP may be looking for an autopilot function. I have used an add-on battery-powered Self-steering gear that attaches to a sailboat Tiller to keep it on a desired compass course. I don't know whether it is strong enough to steer an outboard motor. Cuddlyable3 (talk) 21:04, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

Depends on what you consider small. My buddy has a 16 foot in-board ski boat with power steering. I have an almost identical boat that does not have power steering. His boats a little newer...about 12 years old. It's becoming more and more common to find power steering on even the smaller boats...but definitely not as common as in vehicles. Identification of tiny red bugs/arachnids

I'm always seeing these itsy bitsy bright red bugs tramping around on rocks in NYC. They are about or a bit smaller than poppy seeds. I can't really make them out because of their size but I always thought of them as possibly some kind of spider. Any idea what they are?--108.14.203.233 (talk) 21:26, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

As others point out above, spider mites and velvet mites are the best candidates. In lieu of investigating under a microscope, go by behavior. Spider mites feed on, and are usually found on plants. Red velvet mites are predators, and are often found on rocks. My vote is velvet mite. SemanticMantis (talk) 22:10, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

Baseball Bugs provides good advice. A company is a specific kind of legal entity, usually referring to a modern limited liability company. Companies have organisational problems. However, other social institutions such as partnerships, non-profit organisations, collectives, cooperatives, trade unions, political parties, soccer clubs, cultural associations, public institutions, government instrumentalities and churches have organisational problems.
