Original – Red-necked Stint (Calidris ruficollis) winter plumage, Marion Bay, Tasmania, Australia

Reason: I'm still not sure why a big flock (~80) of these stint allowed me to approach so closely whilst feeding without being bothered. They have always been much shyer on other attempts. I guess they were hungry after a long migration. It was a cool experience anyway. This shot has good lighting, great detail and a nice perspective.
