Original - Azure Kingfisher (Alcedo azurea ruficollaris), Julatten, Queensland, Australia

Reason: Yeah, the depth of field is a bit thin, but that is because it is a very small bird, and the photo was taken in technically challenging conditions (1/20th, 700mm, iso 1600 wide open!). The important part is in focus, and you can still see the plumage clearly. One of my favorite birds I think. I spent quite a long time in a hide to get it.
