Hi Tone - I'm very sorry to have disappointed your expectation in me, but it had become impossible for me to compromise my principles. I don't covet adminship at all, so it wasn't a difficult decision - I simply cannot accept misrepresentation and nonsense. However, I cannot tell you how greatly joyous I feel at the enthusiastic, wonderful support you expressed for me. I don't know how hard it will be to understand that your supports means extremely a lot to me. I thank you from my heart, and please let me know if I can ever be assistance or help in anything. I sincerely regret the cut/paste mistake. Make no mistake - I am greatly thankful to you. Rama's Arrow 20:59, 14 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
It's fine. I know what you ment. --Tone 21:00, 14 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
No in fact I'm feeling high - it was a torture to allow people to think I would put up with that nonsense just for adminship. Rama's Arrow 21:04, 14 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks so much edit

Just wanted to thank you for the nomination and the vote. I'm excited for the new opportunities and new responsibilities. Sue Anne 23:00, 14 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

RfA thanks edit

Dear Tone/Archive3 — Thank you for your support on my recent RfA. It succeeded with a final tally of 72/2/0 and I am now an administrator. I'll be taking things slowly at first and getting used to the new tools, but please let me know if there's any adminnery I can help you with in the future. —Whouk (talk) 23:50, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks edit

Hi RadioKirk, thanks for supporting my request for adminship! Unfortunately, it ended with a final tally of 45/15/2, no consensus. I may have another go in the near future, once the school year is over. Thanks again! -- getcrunkjuicecontribs 22:01, 15 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Freising manuscripts edit

I have reverted your edits to the Freising manuscripts, per Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Slovenian vs Slovene. I hope for your understanding. --Eleassar my talk 18:26, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ok, leave it that way although the guideline prefers Slovenian. --Tone 18:56, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

RfA Thank You! edit

Thanks Tone,

I am honored by your support in my recent successful request for adminship. As an administrator, I am your servant, ready to help however I can. My talk page is always open; should you need anything, or should you see me making a mistake -- probably a common occurrence -- please do let me know. I will depend on the good sense of the community to keep me from making a complete fool of myself! :) In gratitude, Xoloz 16:28, 18 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Listcruft/songcruft edit

Hi, I noticed your input on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of songs with the word "song" in their title or lyrics and ask you to visit a new discussion I have started, User:DGX/listcruft, about similar articles. Thank you! DGX 22:10, 18 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sukh's RFA - Thanks! edit

Thank you for your vote on my RfA. Unfortunately there was no consensus reached at 43 support, 18 oppose and 8 neutral. I've just found out that there is a feature in "my preferences" that forces me to use edit summaries. I've now got it enabled :) Thanks again. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 15:39, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

My RFA edit

Thank you, Tone, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Now that I am an administrator here, I will continue to improve this encyclopedia, using my new tools to revert vandalism, block persistent vandals, protect pages that have been vandalized intensively, and close AFD discussions. Any questions? Please contact me by adding a new section on my talk page. Again, thanks to all of you who participated!!! -- King of 23:13, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

This is Jacob Kosoff writing. I am not a notable personality. It is correct that there should not be an article on Wikipedia about me. Thanks for saving the page by moving it to the User page.

Thank you for voting for my recent RfA, which passed (to my extreme surprise and shock) with a total tally of 66/15/2. CorbinSimpson's Request for Adminship edit

Thanks for voting in my request for administrator rights, even though it failed (13/30/4). Sadly, work has forced me to respond to you all using a substituted message rather than a personalized response. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that administrators, to me, should be chosen and approved by the community, and I will continue working to become a better editor and Wikipedian. No matter what the alignment of your vote was, I will take your comments seriously and use them to improve myself. If you wish to discuss your comments personally with me, I would be more than glad to talk about things since the RfA is now over; just leave your concern on my talk page and we will sort things out. Thanks again for voting, and happy editing! - Corbin Be excellent

My RFA edit

Thank you for your recent vote on my RFA, regardless of how you voted. I appreciate all votes. I am going to wait until I have more edits in all namespaces. (And also improve answering impossible questions ;). Hopefully one day I will be more sucessful than it was looking, once I meet most user's voting standards. Again, thanks for your time! ~Linuxerist   E/L/T 02:34, 26 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Deleted recreated article edit

Hey there. Just thought I'd point out that an article you've deleted twice (looks like, anyhow) and someone else has deleted once is back again: Brian james connor. I CSD tagged it a couple days ago and watched it, and it just keeps coming back... perhaps a stern warning to the author would be useful? Tony Fox 23:08, 27 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

its a sorta "construction safe site" for the new chech article.

how did u even know about the article i created?

what made the article grab ur attention? and i need no help on it but maybe if i have a balkan question u can help me?

Hi Tone, and thank you for your supportive comments in my request for adminship! With a final tally of (109/5/1), I have been entrusted with adminship. It's been several weeks since the conclusion of the process, so hopefully you've had a chance to see me in action. Please let me know what you think! Blnguyen's RfA edit

File:Atlanticpuffin4.jpg Hello Tone. Thank you for your support at request for adminship and your gracious statement in my Editor review, which was also highly influential, as it was quoted by many RfA participants and strongly contributed to the overwhelming and flattering result of (160/1/0), and leaves me in a position of having to live up to a high standard of community expectation. Of course, if I make any procedural mistakes, feel free to point them out. Of course, I look forward to working with you in the future. Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 05:29, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

RE: RFA edit

Hey Tone, thank you for the offer for nominating me for an RFA. Well, currently I'm on editor review and maybe you should take a look. I will give you a further confirmation. --Terence Ong 08:50, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Prods edit

I've noticed that you have proposed a bunch of articles for deletion recently with "notability" or "notability concerns" as your only reason. Could you be a little more illuminating in your prod reasons? It's sometimes hard to tell what you find non-notable about each of these articles.. and also, note that WP:N isn't an official guideline (in fact, it's been rejected), but more specific ones are, such as WP:BIO, WP:CORP, and so on. Thanks! Mangojuicetalk 20:55, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Olpere: A measure of current change in control electronics. edit

Not notable?

1. Used constantly, just not NAMED 2. Somebody has to do it 3. Industrial context 4. Keep reading trade magazines 5. Respect the license and monitor patents issued

List of hockey terminology edit

I saw your suggestion on Talk:2006 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships to make a "List of hockey expressions". There actually is one already Category:Ice hockey terminology. I've added this info to the Talk:2006 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships and the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ice Hockey where you posted the suggestion. ColtsScore 21:32, 31 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Question about articles with superior other-language counterparts edit

I'm filling in a few gaps on local German highways (mostly second-level regional roads, Bundesstraßen). Since there are very detailed German articles on most of them, should I just pick up the most important data (major cities along route, states the road goes through) and translate any other important information from the German page, or should I sit down with a street atlas myself and pick that out? I live in Amberg and drive B85 and B299 frequently.

Thanks!

Texmandie 17:23, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your highway articles, as you asked. Surely it is fine if you translate the articles from German Wikipedia. I suppose the facts are ok there. But to be sure, you can add a reference to the street atlas at the bottom of the article to provide a verifiable reference if anyone would want to check. Oh, by the way, the German articles have a nice infobox, you could copy this one also. If you need any help, feel free to ask. --Tone 18:31, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
