Should IDL be capitalized? edit
I think it should be capitalized. It is a thing and it's a proper name for the IDL in Judaism. While there are disagreements on where the IDL is, it exists and should be capitalized. I'm not going to put up a fuss about it but I think it looks better. 🔯 Sir Joseph 🍸(talk) 19:38, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
- I chose not to do that in order to distinguish the internationally-agreed (conventional) International Date Line—which is at least partly fixed by international treaties and is otherwise widely agreed upon as a very specific line—and a religious construct, which is not. In part, it makes it just a bit easier to distinguish the two when they are both being mentioned. But in part, I don't really see the religious construct as a specific place (therefore requiring a proper noun), but rather as a notion or idea (which requires a common noun). If there is a notable consensus in favor of Sir Joseph's POV, I won't stand in the way. But I'd prefer it to stay as it is. StevenJ81 (talk) 20:07, 29 November 2016 (UTC)

In the opening paragraph, would the phrase "the sundown ending and starting one day" be written more correctly as "the sundown ending one day and starting the next"? or does that complicate things? PurpleChez (talk) 19:42, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
