Something is wrong here. It says he died in 1884, but calculated the excrement value in 1885. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.192.171.197 (talk) 19:57, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed. Well spotted. As per reference, the calculation was done earlier but it is not known when. Re-worded sentence as For example, by using the cost of ammonia as nine pence per pound, and the cost of phosphates as two pence per pound, an 1885 book reported Voelcker as calculating the annual value of excrement per adult as --Senra (talk) 17:14, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
