Turkish delights? :)

Ahlan wa sahlan (Hello)! I'm Droodkin, a member of WikiProject Bahrain and welcome to editing on Wikipedia! Help is always welcome and appreciated here however I've noticed you have a particular interest in images. Whilst images play a pivotal part of any article, it is important that images have the appropriate licensing tag. Most images on Wikipedia are Public domain, which means their copyright expired because of a certain time period (this time period varies country to country. Since Wikipedia is based in America, it primarily follows American copyright law, though other countries' copyright laws are taken into account, see WP:Licensing). The rest tend to be licensed as Fair use, this allows us to use a copyrighted photograph provided that we provide a very good reason (as in, it has to be really important that it's needed in an article! This includes movie poster for said movie etc.), you'd also have to fill a Rationale. Now, if you're wondering where you can get appropriately licensed images from the internet, I cannot recommend it enough that you check out Flickr. Through its advanced search option, you can search through images by copyright status (as in Creative Commons or otherwise). But be sure to check the criteria before uploading. Also, it is worth noting that fair-use images are not permitted on Wikimedia Commons, in this case you must upload it locally to Wikipedia. I hope this information will be useful to you and help (and don't hesitate to ask me or User:Mohamed CJ for any help or queries). Happy editing!

Thanks Droodkin. To be honest, I'm not used to Wikipedia type of uploading images and licenses, since used to edit in Wikia and used to there easy system. Anyway, I will try my best to do anything to help you guys, especially in Bahrain related articles. Also, ya you're right, I'm much into images, so I will try to get used to Wikipedia licenses and learn much more about it soon :). Thanks again for welcoming me.
