Speedy deletion nomination of Joshua Feldman

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Joshua Feldman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. JoelWhy (talk) 13:59, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

Nomination of Joshua Feldman for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Joshua Feldman is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joshua Feldman until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. JoelWhy (talk) 16:15, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Kyle Agnew

The article Kyle Agnew has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet notability guidelines for WP:NACTOR.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ryan Wynott

I saw your note on Ryan Wynott.

While he was deleted per discussion, the article can be recreated if the person eventually meets guidelines for inclusion. For example, a football playing amateur ball does not meet the guidelines and would be deleted. If the footballer plays professional a few years later, then the creation of an article would be warranted.

In Wnott's case, I he has played in 30+ TV episodes since the last deletion discussion. At first glance, this would appear to satisfy the guidelines. Bgwhite (talk) 06:27, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

I hope you participate in the discussion on deleting this article that you authored. While I agree that the subject isn't notable enough and voted to delete the article, the producer is notable and most of what you wrote can/should be included in an article on him and his productions. Your work on this film can be merged with and included in the aricle on City of Scars or perhaps that article can be rewritten as an article on the trilogy. The discussion on deleting your article includes:
  • Redirect and partial Merge to a created section at City of Scars#Background covering the filmmaker's background and earlier work. While Film Threat is fine as a source for Patient J, Cinema Crazed and Comic Book Bin have yet to be evaluated as RS in context to what is being sourced. To disagree with the nominator, filmmaker Aaron Schoenke (a redlink simply awaiting an article) may indeed be determinable under WP:GNG and WP:CREATIVE as notable enough for these pages,[1] and he has (so far) a trilogy of these Batman fan films out... Patient J (2005), Batman Legends (2006), and City of Scars (2010), in all of which actor Paul Molnar (another redlink awaiting an article) plays the Joker. While we do not have a great many sources speaking about the 2005 film, the series and filmmaker are not unsourcable,[2][3][4] and can be written of contextually somewhere within these pages. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 01:49, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
  • I think a merger is a suitable solution here, although I'd lean toward suggesting Aaron Schoenke himself as the most likely notable topic, into which material about all of his films (and about him) from the available reviews and interviews could be merged. --Arxiloxos (talk) 19:30, 28 April 2012
I know that's a lot of work for an editor but I think it's the best way to go. Take care, DocTree (talk) 21:32, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Translating Moss Jernverk

Hi, I am working on translating the article about Moss Jernverk and I do not see the point in adding a template for that, no one else but me will do that job and I do it as quick as I can. Ulflarsen (talk) 11:33, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

AfD for Hehe language

I have a concern about your proposed deletion of the article Hehe language. In the future, please try to follow the guidelines at WP:Before when making a deletion request. A simple google search for "Hehe language" would have shown references from the department of African languages at Michigan State University, Wolfram Alpha, Ethnologue, the Library of Congress, Linguist list, the University of Cambridge, Amazon, Britannica, and Webster's Dictionary; and that's just on the first page. As a general rule, if you think the article name might be a prank, and it is describing a native or foreign topic, it's a good idea to at least do a cursory search instead of going with your gut, as there are many onomatopoeic and nonce-sounding terms derived from non-European languages.
