Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in John Erskine, Earl of Mar (1675–1732). There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. After being warned you persisted in adding full urls instead of internal wikilinks. Hi Diannaa, thank you for your response. I am relatively new to editing in Wikipedia. Again, I apologize for any disruptions that my editing to the John Erskine, Earl of Mar (1675=1732) article has caused. I am reviewing the Wikipedia Manual of Style (MoS) to ensure consistency with the requirements. I fully intend to correct any mistakes that have been incorporated into the article. I am finding there is a significant learning curve to achieving compliance with the MoS. I appreciate your attention, patience, and suggestions. Thank you. The relevance of the House of Mar section is that it represents the lineage of John Erskine who was the Clan Chief of the House of Mar (i.e., Clan Mar and Clan Mar as it is structured today). KMarrs1722 (talk) 17:50, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
