  Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Conflict of Interest

edit

  Hello, Jordandaykin-wiki. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.

If you are Jordan Daykin, then you are creating an autobiography, which is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. If you are not Jordan Daykin but are creating this article for him, you have a conflict of interest. In either case, you must declare your conflict of interest, as described in the links above, and must refrain from editing articles on Wikipedia in which you have such an interest. You may continue to edit the draft article, but not after the article goes into main space. LaMona (talk) 22:12, 27 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for declaring your paid editing on the talk page. Paid editing is a bit tricky, but it can indeed be managed. First, it would be best to ask for a change of username so that you are not confused with the person who is the subject of the article. (See WP:IMPERSONATE). It also serves to remind you that you are YOU and that you can edit other articles on Wikipedia as yourself. We welcome new users, and everyone has something to contribute, no matter what brings them here in the first place. (We all start somewhere.) Follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Changing_username, in particular see the fourth point under "Alternatives to consider." Also, as a paid editor, understand that there is no guarantee that your article will be accepted, or if accepted that it will not be later deleted from Wikipedia. There is a lot of culling of articles, especially those that appear to be promotional rather than encyclopedic. This can be frustrating. Non-promotional writing about encyclopedic topics is much more satisfying, so I hope you won't let your paid experience discourage you from further participation.
