The article Bob Maumill has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 11:24, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • I deleted your original post because it didn't indicate why Mr. Maumill was notable, see WP:BIO. In fact, the first sentence of the article should state why Mr. Maumill is noteworthy -- for example, "Bob Maumill (born ____) is an Australian radio personality." You don't want to have to read halfway down the page to see why the subject belongs in an encyclopedia. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 11:30, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Creating an article - read other bios of west australians - to get a handle on how we deal with bios - please note that the format is not in wiki stye and will have to be edited to comply with WP:MOS - cheers SatuSuro 05:32, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not the place for c'v's or advertising (of which look at WP:SPAM and WP:NOT for edifying reading ) - - it is an online encyclopedia - take careful note of what has been done to the article - and what may still happen to it - cheers SatuSuro 05:43, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Bob Maumill has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\byoutube\.com' (link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPhlBfmjOuY) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks!
