Onkani
CountryNamibia

Onkani village is located in northern part of Namibia, approximately 20 km from Nakambale museum in Olukonda village near Ondangwa. Nakambale museum is where a path of christianity began Finnish Missionary Society . Onkani is forestry and evergreen village thus it suitable for agricultural purposes. There are 65 houses whereby each homestead grow Mahangu and farm livestocks.

The development projects have played a big role in Onkani, we have access to clean water, electricity, communication and education. The Christianity Onakazizi has been enhanced since we have Onakazizi church.

The worst condition occurs during rainy season, whereby the flood hit the village yearly. This forces people to relocate to find suitable place. This condition also forces the government to supply relief food to flood victims. The flood causes concern in northern Namibia [1]. During dry season livestock suffer from drought which often occur in the vicinity of Onkani village.Fire veld destroys grazing areas [2].

In a nutshell, The development in Onkani Village is highly considered.I think the constituency Councillor should urge business people to invest in development projects in order to create employment opportunities in the community.
