Welcome to Wikipedia!

edit

Hello, Extravaganza1. Welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions. My name is Howicus, and I've been an editor here for some time. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

If you're working on creating a new article, you should take a look at this page on your first article, and use the article wizard here to get started. Also, this page has instructions on how to cite sources, complete with videos.

If all this Wikicode is a little overwhelming, this cheatsheet may help untangle it.

If you're looking for a tutorial of sorts, The Wikipedia Adventure is a good option.

And if you need more help, I'd recommend getting live help at the Wikipedia help chat channel: click here to join. Additionally, you could ask me on my talk page, try the Teahouse (a help page for new users) or click here to ask for help here on your talk page and a volunteer will visit you here shortly

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Again, welcome, and have fun editing! Howicus (Did I mess up?) 23:43, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The A-Team (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Iain Smith. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Request reason:

I'm sorry if you mistook me for said user. I'm just a newbie. I'm no sockpuppet, believe me. I just saw Dune Entertainment on X-Men Origins: Wolverine once and got the wrong idea. If it wasn't supposed to be there to begin with, I apologize. If you decide to remove my block, I promise to refrain from such disruptive edits again.

Decline reason:

I'm sure you can explain why technical evidence connects you to said user, then. Huon (talk) 20:41, 22 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I'll tell the entire truth: thefilmlover was not supposed to be a sockpuppet of GaGu13, my first and oldest account. I was trying to completely start all over again. I didn't even know I was logged in by my GaGu13 account. When people accused me in my thefilmlover account of being a GaGu13 sockpuppet I signed out and waited a week before starting this new account so I could distance myself from GaGu13. I can finally accept that Dune Entertainment was not involved with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I will never touch that page again. I am not trying to use my GaGu13 account through this one. I would like GaGu13 destroyed for good. I want to start new. That's why I started Extravaganza1. May you please take my heartfelt apology into consideration, please?

Did anyone see me pleas to be unblocked at all? Can you please respond? Extravaganza1 (talk) 17:08, 23 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Unblock requests are put into a category that administrators can see and respond to if they wish. Your block is a special block called a CheckUser block, meaning only I (the CheckUser in your case) or another CheckUser may unblock you or consent to have you unblocked. At this point in time, I would not consent as I don't find your "apology" sincere. In your first unblock request, you lied. When that didn't work, you requested again, this time telling the "entire truth". I don't believe you didn't know what you were doing when you created the two sock accounts. On September 19 you were blocked for one week because of your socking with Thefilmlover. You had created Extravaganza1 before your block but it wasn't discovered at the time. You made overlapping edits with GaGu13 (not too many) and Extravaganza1. Up until the point that this account was blocked, you were still vandalizing articles. How does that "distance yourself" from GaGu13? I have no confidence that unblocking you will benefit the encyclopedia.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:52, 23 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Bbb23, I didn't know that creating a new account would connect me to my old account when I created thefilmlover. GaGu13 was created I'd say 2 to 3 years ago. I didn't know I was still logged in as GaGu13. thefilmlover was not meant to be a sockpuppet. My actions may make me out to look like I created the filmlover account just to get away with vandalizing as the GaGu13 account, but you must take my word for it that it's not the case. Far from it. I created the Extavaganza1 account to erase the reputation as a no-good sockpuppet. I admit to doing a disruptive edit that could make me look like a sockpuppet, and that's the edit on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but that's it. I don't want to be GaGu13 anymore, and I'm not a mean-spirited terrible person. Is there anything I can do to convince you that I have no bad intentions? If there is, please tell me. --Extravaganza1 (talk) 18:15, 23 September 2015 (UTC) Could you please answer soon? Bbb23, could I please know what you think of this, soon?Reply

Bb23 is a selfish arrogant brat and deserves to be punished. He should have no friends, no access to the internet. Answer me now. Challenge me, you idiot! Tennebrae is also a hack who seems to hate and revile any innocent editor who just wants to EDIT!!! Both of you are arrogant and self absorbed and I'm gonna keep finding a way to edit, and if you don't stop, I will destroy your Wikipedia talk pages somehow! --Extravaganza1
