Changing username

edit

As I said on my own page, since you are not BGK and created this username in error, you ay want to change it and keep the history of all you have done here, too.

WP:UNC shows the policy and the process, and Wikipedia:Changing username is where it happens. If you scroll to the foot you will see the link to

Simple – For renames to usernames that are not already taken. Check here to see whether the username you want is available. from that page on you are on your own! I cant; make the request for you because that woudl be improper and wll be disregarded. Fiddle Faddle 13:26, 13 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Knowing you are a new editor, still learning how to edit this weird and arcane place, if you are not sure how to proceed with a user account change, deploy {{Helpme}} here, say below it that you are having problems and need serious help, and await assistance. I recommend most strongly a name change. At present the BGL article looks like an autobiography. Fiddle Faddle 14:23, 13 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

I have requested the name change and stated the reason why. Hopefully I have done this correctly. Thank you for the advise and help.Brian Kennedy 14:40, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 13:44, 13 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
