Wikimedia Stories Project edit

Hello!

My name is Victor and I work with the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports Wikipedia. We're chronicling the inspiring stories from the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade new people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who use Wikipedia have so much to share. It's important to convey the incredible diversity of people who've come to rely upon Wikipedia every day.

I'd really like the opportunity to interview you to tell your story, with the possibility of using it in our materials, on our community websites, or as part of this year’s fundraiser to encourage others to support Wikipedia.

I will be in Rio de Janeiro on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of March 2012, and i'll be attending:

https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:Encontros/1%C2%BA_WikiCuritiba

I'm hoping you will elaborate on your story with me. I apologize for any mis-translation in this message (perhaps it might inspire a laugh?) I am using Google-translate at the moment, but plan to have translators available when we are in Brazil.

Please let me know if you're inclined to take part in the Wikipedia Stories Project!

Thank you,

Victor Grigas

FAC edit

Berganus, it has been quite awhile since we spoke for the last time. I hope you're doing well. I recently nominated Juan Manuel de Rosas for FAC, but the article is often ignored because of its obscure topic. If you have time and interest, could you review it? I'd be truly grateful. The link to the Featured Article Candidacy page is here. Regards, --Lecen (talk) 13:25, 30 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Trickle-down economics edit

Hi Berganus, I see that you are a professional economist. I wonder if you could help with Trickle-down economics. There has been a fairly long-running dispute as to whether anyone has actually argued for trickle-down economics, i.e. giving money to the rich through tax cuts, as opposed to hoping that the rich will invest more if they are taxed less. Most RS on the page say that it is a theory, but they are all from sources critical of trickle-down economics. In contrast, a few sources say that no economist or politician has ever proposed this theory, but there are not very many of these. I wonder if you knew of any more sources that would help either way, i.e. either a source arguing that giving the rich more money through tax cuts would help poorer people, or one saying that no one had proposed it. Thanks! Absolutelypuremilk (talk) 19:25, 8 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
