I am an Engineering Graduate with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, currently working as a content writer at Hexnode (Mitsogo).

This Wikipedia account was created after seeing the sorry state of the backlinks in the wikipedia article, List of Mobile Device Management software. I ultimately aspire to successfully create and maintain an up-to-date list of MDM solutions and their wikipedia pages (including mine) without keeping favourites.

In addition to the area of my work, I'm also interested in Anime. AudB37 (talk) 07:29, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Hey there, thank you taking the time to look into this issue. I was blocked for sockpuppetry, and while I agree that creating multiple accounts for the same person would take a toll on the moderators, I have not committed any crimes. I have only ever edited from one account. This account. And I have used it as a personal one, and I previously only edited if something really stood out to me (which isn't much). It was recently pointed out to me by a colleague how our company did not have a Wikipedia page. I have been looking into the matter since (and yes, I am aware of the ongoing feud between Wikipedia and the Hexnode page) and have been trying to find a way to peacefully resolve the issue. I dropped the plan earlier, because I thought the best I could do was to request an article (and frankly, with the length of the list of requested articles, I couldn't find it in me, to add one more). Now, I created a different account, you could say a more professional account, with my work email address for authenticity and decided to use that account for the request. But since I dropped the plan midway, I did not use the account anymore. I just had it. (please refer - User: Just a random onlooker) I circled back again, and I saw this other option I previously missed, which was to create an article myself (after declaring my affiliations) and request an edit (as I already mentioned in the other account's talk page, I am still looking into it. I might have missed out some details) which appealed more to me. As I was looking more into this option, I saw that someone had already tried creating a page for Mitsogo, but was deleted. Now, with feud going on, it would've made sense, except it was a draft that was deleted. Now, that did not look legitimate to me. Because deleting a page for whatever reason made sense. But deleting a draft, to me, personally, did not make any sense. It was a work in progress, and if there were any issues, then the best course of action would be to point them out and help make it better. So, as per the suggestion given on the page, I contacted the user who performed the block and enquired as to the reason for the deletion. But sadly, I was blocked (for simply enquiring after an action). Although I understand the need for strict measures, I still think this was a bit over the line as I have not violated the Wikipedia policies. The only suspicious thing about my account that you could point out would be the 6 or 7 edits I performed yesterday, which frankly was out of character for me. But in my defense, the user's talk page was semi-protected, and I had to be autoconfirmed in order to get in touch with them. So, I request the moderators to revoke the ban on my account and in return, I promise to spend more time on Wikipedia and contribute to the community instead of just watching from the sidelines like I was previously doing. I also promise to remain completely neutral and make unbiased choices in the future. Best Regards, AudB37 (talk) 7:07 am, Today (UTC−4)

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 14:32, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Youi have edited with a conflict of interest and state in your unblock request that you were editing with more than on account. People who do so generally see nothing with what they have done. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 14:31, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, AudB37. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 14:34, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey -- Deepfriedokra,
Thank you for the reply!!
I was wondering if it would be rude to ask you what my options were and to explain the block denial in detail (I really did not get what you meant).
This message contains a lot of links I didn't find in my initial research and I really appreciate the message! I would like to thank you for that again.
And I promise to come back when I get a better grip on this whole COI thing, and verify with you before simply diving in like last time.
However, I would like to clarify two point though,
  1. I have not edited any article with a COI (I was still looking into how to do it in accordance with the rules)
  2. I have not edited from any account other than this one
Best Regards,

I'm afraid that wandering missive did not actually answer three key points- Please describe 1) what you did to merit a block, 2) what you would do instead, 3) what constructive edits you would make. Please be concise but thorough.
A rule of thumb on posts-- the longer the post, the greater the word:information ratio, the less likely it is to be read/comprehended.
I di d catch this tidbit, " how our company did not have a Wikipedia page.." Please reread the message about your conflict of interest. That you tried and failed to edit about your company does not in any way change your conflict of interest. That you think that failing to execute your COI and made it a point of objection to the COI notice speaks volumes.
Even if you personally have not used more than one account, you are clearly coördinating efforts, I suppose with your fellow employees. ( I cannot see what Drmies saw leading to the block) That is a form of WP:sock puppetry.. This is a WP:CHECKUSER block. Please read the WP:Guide to appealing blocks. Especially the parts pertinent to your being blocked. I suspect that a successful unblock request would require the disclosure of any connection with any subject you would write about and a WP:TOPICBAN on your company and any related subject.
Also, please read and heed WP:COI and WP:PAID. PAID editing is not against the rules, only PAID editing in which one has not adhered to WP:PAID. (This edit window does weird things. Hopefully its all in the right order.)
best, -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 12:52, 4 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
