NCAA tournament capitalization

edit

Hello, I've reverted a few changes you made on college basketball related articles and just wanted to explain why. Per this discussion from WikiProject College Basketball and the Manual of Style section on capital letters, we try to avoid unnecessary capitalization and thus the tournament name should be written "NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament". The names of each region and round in the tournament are also written in lowercase, unless they are proper nouns or have trademarked names (Final Four, Elite Eight, Sweet Sixteen). Understood, I appreciate the response and now I know not to make those changes. Thanks brother! NJ Jurrjens (talk) 17:55, 25 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
