Custom color

edit

Setting a custom color in monobook.css only changes the text color and not the highlight color. I tried adding a background-color property but that didn't do anything. No matter what I do the cyan doesn't change. Any ideas?

There's a typo in your monobook.css syntax. There mustn't be a semicolon between the background-color setting and the !important. It should work if you change that. --ais523 18:01, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Ah, you're right, thanks! Equazcion /C 18:25, 2 Jan 2008 (UTC)
PS, I also left a message at User talk:Ais523/votesymbols.js, about a symbol URL that needs updating in your code. Just letting you know. Thanks again :) Equazcion /C 18:32, 2 Jan 2008 (UTC)
I got confused by that too - I've made the change in the documentation ([1]) to try and avoid further confusion. Hope you don't mind. Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:28, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I notice that some admins delete their user page. They keep their admin status. However, because redlinks lead to &action=edit&redlink=1, it does not highlight. It should be if it links to the userpage, or to the edit page on a specific userpage, it should highlight. Soxred93 | talk bot 20:40, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

N Not done. Sorry, this kind of request should not be a {{editprotected}} request. Most of us admins who respond to these requests have no idea how the javascript code on this page works and this page belongs to Ais523. This code is handled by Ais523, so if you want him to see your message faster then leave a note at his talk page. --David Göthberg (talk) 23:31, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
