The Paul Erdős bibliography lists and categorizes the published work of Hungarian mathematician Paul Erdős. The canonical bibliography created by mathematician Jerrold Grossman contains 1525 separate entries, spanning journal articles, conference papers and books edited by Erdős.[Intro 1] Grossman's bibliography updates earlier work by Dezsö Miklós and others and first appeared in 1997 Springer book The Mathematics of Paul Erdös.[Intro 2] That bibliography as well as well as a list of updates and corrections is available as part of the Erdös Number Project.[Intro 3] The bibliography in the second edition of Mathematics incorporates these updates and corrections and forms the foundation of this bibliography. This article extends that work as follows:

  1. Addition of Digital Object Identifiers for journals that make use of them. A DOI links to the official version of the paper kept by the publisher, but a subscription may be required to access the material.
  2. Links to freely-available versions where such versions exist. The Erdős Project[Intro 4] at the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics has a large collection of such papers through 1989;[Intro 4] The European Digital Mathematics Library provides open access to many later papers.
  3. Each entry index by Zentralblatt MATH (zbl) contains categorization information based on the 2010 version of the Mathematics Subject Classification. This information form the basis of the topical bibliography.
  4. Old-style zbl indicies have been updated to use the new form.
  5. Journal names are spelled out in full. The names of authors and editors reflect the spelling and abbreviation found in the original publication, to the extent this can be determined.
  6. The International Standard Book Number is provided where possible for books and conference proceedings.
  7. Order of authors has been preserved.

Grossman provided index numbers for Mathematical Reviews (mr) (which have been retained) and Current Mathematics Publications (which have not). This bibliography also retains Grossman's index last number in each entry: a four-digit year followed by a two-digit ID. Reprints are noted only in the entry for the initial publication of the work.
