Hello CFPC

I am an editor of Wikipedia and a Canadian physician. Wikipedia as you know is the free and open source encyclopedia written by volunteers. It is one of the major sources of health care information for the general public as well as health sciences students and physicians. [1] It is frequently the first site on a google search and many medical topics are viewed by over 250,000 people a month.

We at Wikipedia have been discussing the possibility of becoming accreditation as a CME activity. Some of the content is of high quality and peer reviewed such as [2] and [3] but a lot of still requires substantial work. Editing WIkipedia is a fun and useful way for physicians to both keep uptodate in the medical literature as well as educate the general public and our colleges.

Let me know if this is something of interest.
