Color of the Insurgent groups edit

It says on the main page of Ansar Bait al-Maqdis that the group has sworn allegiance to ISIS. Therefore wouldn't it make more sense to mark them with black rather than grey? All of the other maps (the ones for Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and Libya) mark only Al-Qaeda affiliated groups as grey.

Okay, i made it black. --SMB99thx XD 22:29, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Gaza edit

We should add the map of the Gaza Strip to this. ISIS is known to have some presence in Gaza. 128.194.228.14 (talk) 21:35, 16 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

More Scope at north Sinai edit

All major clashes between the Egyptian army & ISIL branch in Sinai are located at the northern border strip between Arish city (31°07′44.2″N 33°44′42.4″E) , Sheick-zuiwed city (31°15′29.9″N 34°08′21.6″E) & Egyptian-Rafah city (31°17′00.7″N 34°14′34.8″E)

Welayet Sinai (ISIL branch in Sinai) has significance presence at number of villages southern to Sheick-zuiwed city like "Al-thouma" (31°10′10.9″N 34°05′15″E) , "Al-mahdeyia" (31°10′20.1″N 34°13′16.1″E) & "lofaitat" (31°06′46.5″N 34°05′30.1″E) ; which they all located near the MFO camp & airport (31°05′00.7″N 34°08′16.6″E)

I believe that if we make a scope on this area it will be more efficient than being make a detailed map on the entire peninsula of Sinai.

I can help of locating the important facilities ,bases , checkpoints , airports ... Etc.

There is a presence in one part of southern Sinai near Abu Zenima in the south. Also it looks like from the map of the situation at present there is one village controlled by them (Isis in Sinai) near the border of Gaza. 2603:6011:9321:FEB9:2C0E:3BC7:8499:2721 (talk) 12:53, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also one settlement seems to be besieged from one side. From what the map said after I click on *Here* to get a current situation on the map. 2603:6011:9321:FEB9:2C0E:3BC7:8499:2721 (talk) 12:55, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Agree Show the entire peninsula is a waste of work. The insurgency is only in the north, never reached the south. Also, I don't believe that this will end with some city conquered by them in the future, the pinnacle of ISIS was 2015, the insurgency probably will end soon. Color of Egyptian government edit

The color is currently red, but in the future Middle East Crises map, red is going to be associated with the Iranian axis powers, thus another color is required here. It can be Green (Arab League Sunni states) or better Blue (like Lebanon - non-aligned country in the Syrian crisis). Thoughts?GreyShark (dibra) 18:28, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Add egypt edit

Not that i hope that the war spreads to mainland egypt, but i think it makes more sense of egypt is shown, for example, the turkish insurgency probably will not spread to western turkey, but it is shown. Thehistorianisaac (talk) 04:15, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
