Headquarters
editThere should be an entry option in the infobox for the location of the headquarters, I think. Keystone18 (talk) 22:32, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- A journal's publisher's editorial offices are really not an important thing in the least. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 02:00, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
- And major publishers (and even many minor ones) have offices all over the world, without necessarily mentioning which office handles which journal... --Randykitty (talk) 12:59, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
How might we use Wikidata for the website parameter?
editToday I successfully used Template:Official website in an article's external links, but failed to implement Template:Official URL in this template. Am I doing it wrong, or does the template need an update to support Wikidata for the website? KarenJoyce (talk) 17:20, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm no big fan of using Wikidata for anything, let alone for something as important as an official website. WD is riddled with errors and an easy prey for vandals. --Randykitty (talk) 17:29, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
ISSN worldcat links are currently broken
editThe ISSN worldcat links are currently broken, e.g. in the current edit of JHA the infobox lines | ISSN = 0021-8286 | eISSN = 1753-8556
currently give https://search.worldcat.org/search?fq=x0:jrnl&q=n2:0021-8286 and https://search.worldcat.org/search?fq=x0:jrnl&q=n2:1753-8556 which state Oops, something went wrong | WorldCat.org We are unable to connect to this page, please try again.
instead of e.g. https://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN/0021-8286 and https://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN/1753-8556, which are valid links. Boud (talk) 12:22, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- Works for me Maybe it's a temporary server glitch? --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 12:27, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- I've been getting the same error for months. Sometimes the page loads results just fine, and sometimes it loads results and then is replaced by an error message. It may be browser-dependent. It's a strange problem. – Jonesey95 (talk) 22:16, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
