Issue with country8= edit

On article 2014–15 IIHF European Women's Champions Cup, template does not populate with correct input for country8, repeats country7 instead. Though “country8=Turkey” is entered, Latvia (country7) is displayed for both country7 and country8. Is this a known issue? Are there any suggestions for resolving? Thanks Spitzmauskc (talk) 22:51, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Fixed. "Country7" was repeated DenSportgladeSkåningen (talk) 06:52, 15 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Champions edit

Label "Champions" with gold medal is broken and does not work on pages using this template. August-54 (talk) 12:01, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

This is still broken. DenSportgladeSkåningen (talk) 06:50, 15 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
I found the problem. DenSportgladeSkåningen (talk) 06:58, 15 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Recently added parameters edit

As discussed at tfd the recently added parameters for every hockey variation are a bit crazy. instead of having winners_ih, winners_ihw, ... for every possible variation, there should be one |mode= or |sport= parameter which modifies the functionality of a single |winners=. it is unlikely that we need to have both field hockey and ice hockey winners in the same infobox. I have started some tracking to find where these recently added parameters are being used so we can find a more scalable solution. Frietjes (talk) 22:05, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

I put some transition code in the sandbox. Frietjes (talk) 22:26, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Plastikspork, could you run a parameter scan for this template to get a count of how many pages are using each parameter like you did for {{infobox river}}? thank you! Frietjes (talk) 22:59, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Frietjes: Thanks for simplifying the syntax for this template. Maybe the new parameter should be |flag-type= or something like that since it modifies the flag template? I any case, here is a table with parameter counts. Let me know if you want more information. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 13:41, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

thank you! I have simplified the infobox, with more simplification to come soon. Frietjes (talk) 00:19, 5 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Looks better! On second thought, flag-type may be confused with flag-var, so maybe just stick with |type= or is there something better? It looks like {{Medals table}} uses |flag_template=. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 15:50, 5 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
