Another historic electorate?
editThe Napier (New Zealand electorate) article mentions a County of Hawke electorate - does anybody know anything about this? Should this be included in this template, redirecting to Napier? Schwede66 03:46, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- I found the answer myself (should have read it properly) - that's an alternate name for the Hawke electorate. Schwede66 03:49, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Link to current electorates
editHi Alan, regarding the link from this template to the current electorates, and vice versa, can we please keep this? In working my way through electorates and tidying them up, I'm frequently switching between them. It would thus be rather handy to keep the links. And besides, those readers interested in electorates might find them handy, too. Is that ok? Schwede66 01:58, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think that is the way it should be done. Article namespace should not be used as an editing aid and it is most unusual to link directly to a template on its own. An Historic electorates of New Zealand article and a Category:Historic electorates of New Zealand should be set up and they may help with your editing. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 08:43, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- I've left a note on the politics talk page, inviting broader input. Schwede66 22:00, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
