Bypass redirect edit

Please replace the content of this template with the current sandbox version to bypass the redirect to GEOnet Names Server. — OwenBlacker (Talk) 10:56, 4 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

The template actually even linked to a dab page; this is now fixed. Ucucha (talk) 11:34, 4 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fix needed edit

The template needs updating. The GNIS name server changed its server name from:
http://geonames.nga.mil/ggmagaz/

to

http://geonames.nga.mil/namesgaz/

So in order for this template to work, the name needs to be updated in the template. Simply change "ggmagaz" to "namesgaz" and it will work again. --Bejnar (talk) 04:14, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 29 May 2022 edit

Could somebody remove the apostrophes (') on both sides of {{{1}}} in the first link in the template, as this creates the addition of two instances of "%27" in the link when the template is used, so it becomes a dead link, compare these links as an example:
