Please add | flag alias-football = Flag of Bolivia (state).svg
and | altvar = {{{altvar|}}}
so the flag used by FIFA (confirmed here) is able to be used for football templates. Thanks, S.A. Julio (talk) 02:50, 27 June 2018 (UTC)

I'd like to propose these changes to the page for the different flags used in different periods of time including today that are missing. Like the country data page for Peru, there's several flags missing which would be useful and should be added here. Any mistakes present here I apologize for in advance.

- To editor 180app: done, and as with the Peru template, a Bolivia sandbox has been created for future suggestions. P.I. Ellsworth - ed. put'r there 04:02, 30 September 2021 (UTC)

To editor 180app: curious about the significant difference between File:Bandera de Bolivia (Estado).svg and File:Flag of Bolivia (state).svg. Do you know the story behind that difference? One reason that I ask is because the "football" variant still uses the "(state)" flag (wonder if it should also be changed to the "(Estado)" flag?). P.I. - To editor Paine Ellsworth: They do appear to be very similar, if not the same. Perhaps it should be brought up on their respective talk pages unless there is a reliable source differentiating the two of them. 180app (talk) 09:07, 30 September 2021 (UTC)

I would like to request that the file for |flag alias-football=
be changed to Flag of Bolivia.svg
. Use of a state flag for non-governmental purposes when there is a separate civil flag is improper, and FIFA uses the civil flag in match reports such as this one from 2026 World Cup qualifying: BOL 0–3 ARG. This request would change the output for {{fb|BOL}} and all other association football templates from Bolivia to Bolivia. I forced the state and civil flags to preserve the differences between the two should the request be approved.— Jkudlick ⚓ (talk) 02:11, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- Also, I know the flag was changed a few years ago when FIFA started using the state flag, but it has been reverted back to the civil flag at the same source from 2018. See here.— Jkudlick ⚓ (talk) 02:15, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- Completed. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 02:39, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
