Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

Default harvid apparently throws an error edit

Even though it appears to work well (e.g., on the doc page), using the default |ref= apparently places the article into Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. This is quite puzzling. I will investigate. — hike395 (talk) 10:32, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Fixed Apparently, it's a known problem that when you have a wrapper template, Module:Footnotes generates false errors. I fixed this by adding a regular expression in the whitelist mechanism that detects anchors that end in "USGS". The false errors should be gone now. — hike395 (talk) 11:20, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Aymatth2: Note above, thanks! — hike395 (talk) 11:29, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Hike395: Great! Those false errors were defeating the point of using {{cite gnis2}}. A big improvement. Aymatth2 (talk) 12:08, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I see that sometimes you are using {{harvid}} with strings ending in USGS, even for {{citation}}. That works, but you should be aware that with this fix, those harvids will not have error checking. — hike395 (talk) 12:24, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
