Unemployment benefits in the United StatesUnemployment insurance in the United States – The federal and state programs discussed in this article are named "unemployment insurance" programs rather than "unemployment benefits" programs. The colloquial name can continue to redirect here, but I think the article title should use the technical name. Kumar (talk) 19:09, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

NELP as a source

edit

I've been incorporating content from the National Employment Law Project, a progressive advocacy group. They have a lot of articles about the UI system, and since their website is CC-BY-SA 4.0, direct copying and close paraphrasing is legal as long as it is cited (you can put a {{cc-notice}} template in the citation). I would use caution when citing or copying from these sources, as they contain a mix of factual descriptions of UI programs and criticisms/reform proposals. Only the factual descriptions should be copied directly into Wikipedia and presented in Wikipedia's voice; statements of opinion should be attributed to the source.
