A tree bog how-to on wikipedia?
- Good point. I've removed the most egregious material. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 20:21, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
This page lifts a *lot* of its text straight from the linked site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.213.217.162 (talk) 02:35, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Ad edit
This page is like an ad. --78.54.65.110 (talk) 23:06, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
worse than an ad - I've added another flag (original research), and cleaned up the incorrect associations with proper controlled composting, as well as the assertions that it's carefree "sanitation" .... the article is nearly a direct quote of the single external link and has no place on Wikipedia Red58bill (talk) 02:22, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Merge with article on Arborloo? edit
This seems to be basically the same as an arborloo. As the term Arborloo is more widely used in the sanitation literature, I propose to merge the two articles and then to redirect from Tree Bog to arborloo. What do you think, User:JMWt? EvMsmile (talk) 11:49, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
This is significantly different from an ArborLoo and I would suggest some promoter of Tree Bogs to place illustrations, both drawings and photos. I am also not convinced about the use of chicken wire, as this would rust and release heavy metals; maybe it can be replaced by plastic mesh. Bio-CLC (talk) 09:29, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
Rain edit
Wouldn't a hard rain or flood spread the poop all over the place? What about animals feeding on the poo? Leo Breman (talk) 20:38, 1 December 2020 (UTC) That could be a problem and it may be a good idea to form a birm of soil around the toilet for this reason, making it a bit more like the ArborLoo.
