Beach Boys and DVD
editThey got themselves out of early movie versions of the show. Are they on the currently sold DVDs of the show?Dogru144 (talk) 14:22, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
- The dvd copy I have has them performing Surfin' USA, I Get Around, Surfer Girl and Dance Dance Dance. The included booklet says the release is the show 'in it's entirety'. The run time is 112 min. The booklet with the release states that it was 'converted to hi-def and restored to it's original wide screen format.THX1136 (talk) 23:53, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
Shout Factory DVD
editThis page states that the Shout Factory release is complete with the Beach Boys version, but it is not 2 hrs and 3 minutes, it is only 112 minutes, 11 minutes short of the listed Run time.
VHS copy that wasn't a bootleg
editThere was an authorized VHS of the TAMI Show released in the US in the mid-1980s. Media Home Entertainment had the non-Beach Boys version, and was an authorized distributor.

- The current version of the article doesn't say anything about the T.A.M.I Show being officially released on Home Video or indeed, anything about the show at all. Do you have an external reference for this info? If so, we might be able to put it in the article.LiPollis (talk) 07:37, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
Moved Bill Aken, here
editbecause I am tracking down Bill Aken and he seems to be showing up in some questionable places. If you want to put him back please have a good reference. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 19:19, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
In popular culture section?
editI don't know how to do this, but if someone works on this page and adds an "in popular culture" or similar section, this should include the fact that The Police song "When The World Is Running Down You Make The Best Of What's Still Around" mentions "James Brown on the T.A.M.I. show" twice, in the first and last verse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dclahti (talk • contribs) 16:13, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

Wrecking Crew as the house band?
editI noticed that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees list includes Hal Blaine and Leon Russel, but they aren't mentioned anywhere else in the article as having performed. So I looked at the history and found this edit that removed the original reference to them as part of the Wrecking Crew being the house band for the concert:
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=T.A.M.I._Show&diff=prev&oldid=1074146199
(apologies if there's a better way to cite this edit).
That edit summarily deleted them from the list of performers.
Can anyone find confirmation that they actually did perform? Or if they are even on-screen in the movie? Yurfdog (talk) 17:53, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
