Merger proposal edit

I propose that the article "Tennessee Technology Center at Pulaski" be merged with Tennessee Technology Center at Shelbyville. The lead section of both articles are nearly identical and barely talk about the institution itself. Perhaps an article should be created for the Tennessee Technology Center and the two campuses could be mentioned. --BurtAlert (talk) 21:57, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose - Agree that the article needs significant help. I have added a WikiProject Education banner to the talk page to bring it within their interest. These TTCs are separate institutions under the TBR. The merger of these two articles would then logically imply the merger of the remaining 24 articles for all of the other TTCs. Much better to expand what's here without the need to re-create it in the future. SBaker43 (talk) 06:25, 4 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - Agree that the article needs help. The Tennessee Technology Centers although under a central office offer different curriculums and classes throughout the State of Tennessee. The TTCs should be individual pages much like the colleges and universities under the TBR system. Universities and Colleges have similar curriculum and classes however they also fall under TBR. Grouping all of the TTCs under one heading would be like grouping all Universities and Colleges under one page under TBR. Each TTC has a unique history and needs to be separated.Stevemallard (talk) 02:53, 15 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
