Paraguay government and its incorporation to teleSUR

The Paraguayan government signed an agreement to join the sponsors of TeleSUR in August 2008 Arrticle. Until now, There is no evidence that this treaty was put into function, and the network's website does not mention Paraguay as one of its sponsors. Article I suggest the removal of Paraguay of the list of sponsors until it's known how the Paraguayan government will be involved in the network's sponsoring. The mention of Paraguay as one of teleSUR's sponsors were removed for the reasons listed in my previous post. Enigmaticland (talk) 07:16, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Deutsche Welle reference clarification

It's plain wrong to call Deutsche Welle a "privately owned network" and to mention it in one sentence with CNN and TVE. Instead, it is 'öffentlich-rechtlich' funded, see German wikipedia about it. Next thing, Deutsche Welle TV airs a widely unbiased and balanced program. I would be very astounded indeed if I would find a piece on DWTV that has a "distorted view" on Latin America.
Needs to be changed, or at least lightened up.81.173.186.82 (talk) 21:40, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Details were clarified. Enigmaticland (talk) 19:26, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Outcome of the vote

US Reaction does not state what the outcome of the vote was. Multo importante. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.189.53.60 (talkcontribs) 19:13, 11 June 2006

36 Member Advisory Committee

Telesur's advisory committee has 36 members but I can't find a place on the internet that lists all members (I searched the Telesur site as well). If someone can find a link showing all members please show it here. Thank you.--Jersey Devil 01:20, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Pan-Americanism

Pan-Americanism postulates an integrated Americas, this is totally different from latin American integration which postulates a Latin American integration. teleSUR does NOT promote an integrated America, that would have to include the US and such an idea runs counter to what teleSUR stands for, SqueakBox 19:45, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

teleSUR's sponsors clarification

Ha, I wish someone would clarify how the financing will be done. It look like most of the money will be coming from participating country, but is there like minimal commitment period? This is the only way you can ensure sustainability else a change in government can destroy the project.--Wk muriithi —Preceding undated comment was added at 05:14, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
I deleted the financing part because it doesn't provide any facts and is misleading. The links appear to point to facts concerning the financing, but instead point simply to the websites of the Ministerio and PDVSA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.211.89.141 (talkcontribs) 23:17, 24 July 2006
The financing part is not clear, and seems the governments involved doesn't have any kind of interest in providing those facts. I know that Uruguay isn't still a proper teleSUR member because that nation's Congress didn't approved the required law, but I can't find a reliable source to add to the article...--Enigmaticland —Preceding undated comment was added at 00:40, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

"Its sponsors are the governments of Argentina 20%, Bolivia 5%, Cuba 19%, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Uruguay 10% and Venezuela 51%."

How come this adds up to more than 100%?

Another Latin network called SUR?

Wasn't there another Latin American network called simply "SUR" in the 1990s? I'm not sure where it was based, but watching it from the United States it seemed more oriented towards South America, where most Spanish television in the U.S. is oriented toward Mexico. It's obviously a difficult search term, but I'd be interested if anybody knows enough about this other network to create an article. Squidfryerchef (talk) 18:48, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Bias

I've spent the last 20 minutes watching TeleSur for the first time in my life. Based on what I've seen, it's extremely biased. Is it possible that someone with more knowledge than me could include this in the article? --200.4.230.226 (talk) 11:34, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

Controversy and Criticism section

So I was looking at the Controversy section and the only part only of that seems relevant to it is the Venezuela ad campaign. Why are the other other so called controversy's part of that section? 72.192.191.40 (talk) 19:42, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
