Ruler exercises edit

This page might cause confusion with the taiji chih, tai chi ruler, exercises. The latter were conceived by chen tuan ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chen_Tuan ).

Also see blog: http://www.chichiangtao.com/

also: 太极智 translates as Taiji Wisdom. pinyin: tai4 ji2 zhi4

beter is: 太極尺 taiji chi Taiji Ruler (length of one foot) pinyin: tai4 ji2 chi3

The exercise using a short wooden stick supported between the hands to maintain their coordinated relation is misleadingly named 'tai chi' chih or ruler. Although it may seem to be related, the Ruler exercises are explained by a differing set of principles. The often recorded claim that the Ruler exercises originates from the Song Dynasty court taoist Chen Tuan of Bo village is completely false; this makes it doubtful that its lineage was received and transfered via the Chao Family. website: [1] 124.122.81.46 (talk) 15:28, 30 May 2013 (UTC)dr.k.conor.foxxReply

Tai chi chihTai Chi Chih – According to the article, this is a trademarked name, like Bikram Yoga. Per MOS:TM, trademarks should be capped. See also MOS:SPORTCAPS. In the body of the article, the name already uses title case (and did before my edits). — BarrelProof (talk) 06:17, 29 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
