Distance from Ottawa

edit

The distance from Ottawa in the article is incorrect. It is only about 74 kilometres from one to the other, not 100. Grandma Roses (talk) 00:28, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

South Dundas is now a Municipality

edit

As of 2013, the South Dundas has been declared a "Municipality" (as seen on the official website [1]). It is no longer a Township. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.102.67.66 (talk) 14:28, 13 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

History with regards to the McIntosh

edit

The McIntosh apple was not invented. It was merely discovered and cultivated. Its popularity in North America and propagation in many lands attests to the qualities of the apple, and perhaps also attests to the initiative and industry of John McIntosh and his descendants, but that hasn't been shown. I feel like this reads like a Chamber of Commerce advertisement or some Ode to Albion Seed ("How Industrious The Scottish!") rather than a wiki article, that it, it reads like propaganda.

Rather than changing the final sentence, I will request a citation. We don't have enough of the apple's history here to know whether its movement was all attributable to the McIntoshes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lizard1959 (talkcontribs) 03:01, 15 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
